Mentoring men where the rubber meets the road.

IGM Mission

The main focus for Iron Grip Ministries is the presentation of the Gospel's saving grace through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God's Son.

The backdrop for the evangelism segment of the ministry is in the motorcycle and automotive communities.  Going to their events and building relationships with the men in these communities, allowing me to speak to them about Jesus Christ.

As for the mentoring segment of the ministry, I reach out to other local organizations that offer help to the community for mentoring opportunities with other men as well as to chaplains in the local jail for mentoring opportunities after a prisoner's release. If a man wants to be encouraged and wants help in learning the practical every day choices for a peaceful life, or if a man wants help working through a decision to live for Jesus Christ, I am available to assist him.

Our goal and prayer is that each man that we work with can come to know Jesus Christ and grow to the point that they can take our motto "Recognizing God's irreversible grip on me!" and know and own this motto personally for himself.

IGM Motto

Recognizing God's irreversible grip on me!

John 10:27-29

GOD'S WORD Translation (GW)

27 My sheep respond to my voice, and I know who they are. They follow me, 28 and I give them eternal life. They will never be lost, and no one will tear them away from me. 29 My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than everyone else, and no one can tear them away from my Father.

My Bio

My name is Chip Flagg, I was raised in a Christian home. My dad was a man who quietly lived out his faith and has had a big influence on me as a adult. Other positives in my life were Christian Service Brigade, Campus Life, Wheaton Bible Church, and Christian Motorcyclist Association.

As I look back, I now realize how much the influences of my environment set the course for my life. Some of my negative influences caused problems in my life because I guess at the time I was not aware of how to make better choices and did not have someone to call me out and direct me in the correction I needed.

As I have grown older, I have had the opportunity to come along side many men and listen to their life stories and have gained their trust, which has lead to discussions on how they can make positive changes in their own lives. This interaction has made me realize that there is a place for the mentoring of other men. I in no way have all the answers in life, but as I have learned from my own experience, when I have found someone I respect, and trust, I can learn from them if they are willing to share. This has been an invaluable part of my learning cycle.

As for some other specifics about me, after finishing high school, I married Denise. We have 4 children who are all adults now. My employment career has mostly been in the area of building plastic injection molds. I have one older sister who is a good friend.

As an adult, I made a conscious decision to accept Jesus Christ into my life and pursue a relationship with Him. I am always up to sharing more of my story with you and how my relationship with Jesus Christ guides my life through the issues I have been dealt.
